Breathe fresh air and stretch
Yes, we breathe every day. However, deliberately taking in a slow, deep breath and filling your lungs with fresh air can feel invigorating. This, followed by a great big cat-like stretch, can become a natural part of your life. First thing when you wake and just before you fall asleep, take a deep breath in, hold it for a few seconds and then slowly let out the air. Next, give your body a long-lasting and gentle stretch from the top of your head right down to the tips of your toes. This can help to remind each part of your body that it plays its own unique and valuable role in the completeness of 'you'. Taking a deep breath and stretching can also gently prepare you for sleep or reenergise your body before work.
